Asset managers are rapidly testing tokenization boundaries after the SEC’s latest policy signals. A new tokenized fund launched just one day after the regulator’s roundtable discussion, coinciding with fresh stablecoin-related M&A activity.

SEC Chair Paul Atkins framed blockchain adoption as an inevitable technological evolution, comparing it to audio’s transition from vinyl to digital formats. "Blockchain technology enables novel securities use cases that existing regulations don’t contemplate," Atkins emphasized, signaling potential rulebook updates ahead.
